R-CADE, A PLACE FOR PEOPLE
In January 2018 R-CADE opened their doors to the public with just a handful of games and a truck load of ideas. They offered everyone the chance to experience retro video games the way they were intended; on original hardware with proper old school televisions. At the same time they wanted to bring back local multiplayer video game experiences to the masses too as the onslaught of online gaming had taken over the younger generation.
The aim from day one was to offer a fun, safe and inclusive space for fans of all things retro to hang out, make new friends and connect with each other.
In Jan 2020 R-CADE celebrated it’s 2nd birthday. After over 300 events both in their venue and around the country they felt like they’d perfected the magic formula. R-CADE had succeeded in creating a warm, welcoming, safe, environment where people from all walks of life could meet and feel comfortable.
GAME PAUSED
Unfortunately 2020 brought with it a global pandemic and they were forced to closed our doors to the public for the very first time.
But like any good video game protagonist they knew they’d have to level up and so R-CADE Online was created .
No longer able to welcome the community into their venue, they decided to take the unique brand of fun and video games online. Through video sites like YouTube and Twitch they have dedicated our time to creating amazing content that can be consumed anywhere through desktop, laptop or mobile.
GAME ON!
After 18 months of uncertainty and fear, they’re finally able to re-open to the public. The response to the limited set up was incredible and R-CADE thank everyone for coming back to visit again after so long.
As we all move forward through difficult times and try to regain much of what was lost during the global pandemic, we can all be hopeful that things will return to some semblance of normality or at least a new normal that includes everyone.
ONLINE STORE
Their all new Online Store gives everyone the chance to recreate their fondest gaming memories at home with pre-owned hardware and software available to buy with delivery or click and collect. And to complete the full R-CADE experience, all of our favourite snacks and drinks from all around Asia are also be available in the Online Store too.
